  1. My word of the year is BELIEVE. I always need a new pair of jeans. I spend too much time buying them for my 3 boys!

  2. My new habit for the new year is cooking and eating more fresh food. No more prepackaged fast and easy solutions. We actually started a few weeks ahead of the new year, and so far we’ve been doing great. Hubby and I are planning and preparing meals together, and the kids love it.

What a great giveaway to start the new year off with. Everyone wants to feel and look their best as much as possible. Good luck to everyone 🙂

  3. My new year habit will be at least walking 15 to 30 minutes a day during my lunch hour.

  4. Oh, can it be two words??? Be Satisfied. That’s what I wanna do….I don’t want to buy things just because they are on sale. I don’t want to keep up with the Joneses. I just want to be happy with what I’ve got – because health and family count for a lot. That being said, I would love a new pair of jeans.

  5. My new habit will be getting back to walking on my lunch break. I’ve spent the past year nursing my daughter on my lunch break, but I’m about to wean her off that so now I can have that time to exercise instead. As much as I love spending that time with her, I do miss having the time to spend in quiet reflection on my walks.

I could really use some new jeans too. All of my either look bad or don’t fit. 🙁

  6. My new habit is to learn 2 bible scriptures a month, and my word for the year is PERSEVERE—if I will persevere, maybe I will fit into the jeans!

  7. Ohhhh, Lee. Thank goodness someone out there is designing jeans for ‘the rest of us’. You know – those of us who aren’t 18 years old in a size 2? Thanks, Lee.

My NY word is organize. In a world of digital files, digital media and digital photos – I want my photos printed, accessible and organized. Organization lends itself to order, which lend itself to a sense of peace. I want to be more organized so I can be more peaceful.

Thank to you and to Lee, girlfriend.
    xoxoxo

  8. My new habit is to eat 2 dark chocolate Hershey kisses for my after school snack! I am a first grade teacher and if I have those kisses after school I can have my little bit of sweet and then go the gym!

  9. I want you folks to know you can make a change. I am 48, my metabolism has slowed significantly, and the scale was not budging even when I exercised (walked) and changed some eating habits. Then I got started on Alli pills and they really work for me. They are NOT for everyone, and there are side effects, but I am a fortunate person who does well with them. I have lost pounds I would not have lost otherwise.
Secondly, I have a new Health-o-meter digital scale that tracks your weight!
These two things are the motivation I needed!

  10. My resolution for the new year is to pay off our mortgage. My word of the year, although it’s two words would be “financial freedom”.

  11. I’ve been following that “word of the year” thing from Christine Kane’s blog, too – such a great idea! My word is nurture. As in, nurturing my relationships with my kids and my husband, nurturing our home to make it the sanctuary we want it to be, and nurturing my own body and health!

  12. I’m going to share my 2 words with you. Give Thanks…….that’s what my new year is going to be all about!

My word for this year is CHERISH, for I want to cherish every moment (good and bad) for life is too short to spend mad or sad!

  14. My word is “serve” and I want to lead my children by example to be good to our neighbors in need…whether it is to sit with a lonely person or make a phone call, or break our backs helping them with actual work!
Thanks for the chance! I love jeans!

  15. I have three: 1) Be more creative! I haven’t spent much time writing and I need to get my blog back up and running again. 2) I’m also determined not to eat so much pre-packaged food and try to cook more (especially after reading Michael Pollan’s books!). 3) I’d like to lose some weight too, but more importantly, just get active and get healthy. Numbers aren’t everything!

  23. My new word for the new year is IMPROVE. Improve my outlook, my fitness level, relationships, etc. I think we all have those areas of our personality that trouble us or we wish we could change. Well, this year I am doing it. No more just sitting on the sidelines hoping for change – good luck to us all!

  24. My word for the year is “Blessed”. My goal for the year (one of them anyway) is to write my listing of 5 items that I have been blessed with each day down and really look for the little things that God gives me that make me a blessed person. My second goal is to read the Bible all the way through.

Here’s hoping I’m ‘blessed’ with a pair of Lee jeans. 😉

  25. Hhhmmmm…I have quite a few resolutions for this year…one of them would be to watch less tv. My word for this year is ‘positive’…I’m going to end each day thinking of all of the positive things that happened and what I’m grateful for that day. =)

  28. May Canadians enter? My resolution is to participate in my community more – I have a tendency to stay at home a bit too much, I think.

My new habit is looking better in my jeans, even the mom ones.

  30. I want to figure out how the heck one strikes a balance between living for the precious today and remaining responsible about the future. I want to know this, or at least feel more comfortable with it, as it relates to me as a mama, wife, friend, professional, artist and citizen.

  31. Oh let’s see – walking 10k steps a day (I’m at 6300 as a start).

Taking Vitamin D (we northern peeps don’t get enough sun, fo sho in the winter time.

Adding Omega 3 into my vitamins.

And cutting down on the sugar.

    Cook Pioneer Woman quality meals.

Ok, that last one may completley throw me of course but a girl’s gotta dream right?

  32. Grateful will be my new word. Grateful for what I have, who I love and who loves me back. Grateful for wonderful children and that my family has jobs.

New resolution for this year it to keep on living the clean lifestyle that I started last year.

  33. My resolution for 2009 is to try to do better in all aspects of my life, focusing on being a nicer, more patient person.

  34. DH and I recently accepted the fact that our home contractor was milking us. (He was recommended to us by the log home manufacturer we purchased our log home kit from, and for 6 of the past 7 months we lived out of state.) We have a new builder who is identifying lots of “need to fix” areas. We love our property (national forest boundaries, mountains, creek) and have decided former builder will NOT steal our joy also. Solution: Every time we discover a “problem” we will respond with “Thank God we found out about this now!” rather than negative thoughts and feelings toward former builder. What is done is done, and we want to move forward joyfully and appreciate the blessing of our new home.

  35. 30 POUNDS. Sounds like a goal to give up on immediately, but am keeping accountable with my blog — readers will be instructed to leave flaming bags of poo by my door if I fail….. I’m already down 4. 😀

  36. My resolution was to only buy healthy foods. If the junk isn’t in the house, the family can’t eat it!
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  37. Changes:
Rethink makeup. My old makeup is just not flattering on a now 60 year old face. I need to minimize and soften my look.

Avoid fast food as much as possible.

Get away from the computer and exercise!!!

  38. My resolution is to finally organize my life and my house. I need to be free of the clutter to really start living. Thanks for the giveaway!

  39. My word for the year is “Capture” I am so busy photographing stuff for my business that I hardly take the time to capture the moments of our everyday life. And with the girls being 14 and nearly 11, these moments are flying by too quickly!

I personally LOVE Lee jeans. My only problem is I can never find my size in a Long/tall. Probably should order them online.

    Thanks and good luck everyone!

  40. I would love to win Lee jeans! I have lost weight (in honor of a healthier new year!) and have only one pair of jeans that still fit. Thanks for the great giveaway!

  41. My word is “organize”. I want to organize my house, my biz, my time, and my life in general! I am tired of living min to min! I want to be more organized. I know this will cut down on the stress, A LOT! I would love these jeans. I can never find jeans to fit just right! Thanks for the opportunity!

  42. My husband and I are trying to become healthier. Our team goal is to run a 5K sometime this year. It allows us to be supporters for one another while trying to do something as “husband and wife” and not just “mommy and daddy”.

    Great blog!
