I made something!
Look! I made something!!

If you looked at my google reader, the folder that would have the most feeds would be my craftyness one. I cannot resist a good tutorial to save my life. I put it on my list of “things to do”, then promptly forget it the next time I decide to be creative (yes, it DOESN’T help that I can’t find the list, why do you ask?)

Things are looking up though – I made a BIG decision, and instead of feeling more burdened, I feel more free…

I am now a HOMESCHOOLING MOM

Wonder how homeschooling is saving me time? Easy – I can almost finish homeschool in the time I usually spent every day driving and waiting for school to get out for 2 kids on different schedules. Plus I get to add in the things the California school system is sadly lacking in – the arts, social studies, science…plus, if we want to sneak off for a field trip (tons of museums around here, parks, DISNEYLAND) for the day, I don’t have to worry about what to tell the attendence recording (yes, I can’t even lie to an answering machine!)

I am really excited to see how our days will pan out – we are just starting, so our routines aren’t quite set yet – will we be early risers? Have a set schedule or just see how each day unfolds? I think a little bit of everything will mark our first few weeks.

If you homeschool, I would love to know your secrets, tricks of the trade or tips – leave them in the comments below!
