Apronistas, hey! I am seeking your stories for my next book, which is similar to The Apron Book but with a focus on linens. I came up with the idea last Thanksgiving, as I was setting the table with a cloth and napkins that once belonged to others. Seeing initials so beautifully embroidered by brides of other eras or by young girls for their Hope Chests got me thinking about them in the same way I wondered about the women who’d once worn aprons as a part of their daily wardrobe.
If you’re like-minded, please share your story with me through my website, http://www.apronmemories.com, my email ellynanne@apronmemories.com, or my blog http://apronmemories.blogspot.com. The time frame here is short-stories by mid-January, at the latest.

Memory cues to get you thinking:

Tables set with cloth were once the norm, as was the instruction from one generation to another on how to set a table, wash dishes, store linens, be a hostess, extend hospitality.

Hoping to hear from many of you!

xxxx EllynAnne
