For me it all began with Anthropologie

My friend and I had gone to Santa Monica for the day, and I wandered into the Anthropologie store. I was drawn to the back of the store, where they had a little kitchen vignette set up…a beautiful buffet, covered with linens, china, crystal. And tucked back into a corner, almost as an afterthought, was a white shabby painted coatrack, and on it were hanging the cutest aprons I had ever seen. Feedsack patchwork on one side, solid on the other, with a ruffle at the bottom. It was at once girly, practical, and oh so pretty…I had to have it.
That was 4 years ago…Anthropologie still has the cutest aprons, and they continue to come up with interesting styles and fabrics…Shortly after this I came across my own Grandmother’s aprons that had been packed away after she passed, and I was completely hooked. Today I collect vintage aprons on Ebay, make my own, and get inspiration from people like Kim from Olive Juice Co , Morgan Moore, Heather Bailey and Amy Karol.
