I hadn’t expected to lose anything this week, but I was pleasantly surprised to notice a 1/2 pound loss…not much, but better than nothing, right? This was the first week both boys felt 100% again, and it was nice and warm here in Southern California, so we did a lot of running around outside…I think I want to find a fun workout video/system to do…I do yoga, and I was thinking of trying pilates, or that yoga booty ballet-it’s fun to say…is it fun to do??

Have you tried the “Walk away the pounds” DVDs? it doesn’t seem like a workout at all.

A loss is a loss, girl! Good for you.
I’m a big fan of Pilates and have been going to sessions fairly religiously for more than a year now. If you like yoga, you’ll like this because it is low impact and there’s a lot of really great stretching and core work. Some places even have power Pilates classes where you can break a really great sweat during a workout.
If you have any questions, email me. But I think you can probably already tell that I’ve been hitting the Pilates Kool-Aid pretty hard…

Until I got injured 2 years ago, I was an AVID video workout queen. I’ve done the FIRM, which is awesome, and I previewed Yoga Booty Ballet, and didn’t like it at all. I love pilates, and it really does great things for your body. Now if I could only get my motivation back!

I think Pilates is the best and worst. You really feel the workout and the fact that it’s working. Hence worst/best.
