I must be doing something right…
I was watching a movie with my 2 year old, and one of the characters in the movie was a little boy, who started crying. He looked at me and said “aw, crying…sad.” He then held out his arms, pretended to hug the little boy, and started making shushing noises. I got all teary thinking how sweet he was. Which totally makes up for him getting into my purse and destroying my favorite lipstick-for today anyway…
That brought a smile to my face – the hug, not the lipstick! 🙂
that is the sweetest thing ever. i love it when my kids show compassion. it’s rare, but i love it! 🙂
I love it when my kiddies show their compassion. My son is the best about it; whenever someone looks down, he loves to run over and find a way to cheer them up.
awwwww….that’s so sweet! 🙂
I love moments like that, when you see your child as a little human being that starts getting stuff…like feeling empathy for people who are sad or sick.
